A roll-bond in a Hybrid Photovoltaic module

The production technology enables the roll-bond heat exchanger to be suitable for being used in Hybrid Photovoltaic Modules. Beside other advantages, with one-side extra flat inflated roll-bond heat exchanger we are able to achieve a higher surface fit with the Photovoltaic module which results in 10-20% improved PV performance.

Together with our partners we developed and designed aluminium roll bonded plates that are used as heat pipes suitable for evacuated tube collectors. Several tests of different alloys and different designs were done to achieve sustainable solution also for extreme conditions at stagnation. Such a system is suitable for solar district heating, industrial or other big scale solar systems. Because of its simplicity it allows fast assembly and very low pressure drop in the main circuit. Successive inline mounted heat pipe plates inside evacuated tubes enable high water temperatures up to 130°C.

With our production and innovative approach we can combine two or more plates to achieve standard 2m2 or bigger high efficient solar flat absorbers with very low pressure drop. Such absorbers are built in flat plate collectors for solar district heating, for industrial or other big scale solar plants.
